Independence Beach (also known as 7 Chann Beach) is located in Sihanoukville, Cambodia's main seaside resort, on the Gulf of Thailand. This sandy beach offers a pleasant setting for kitesurfing. The dominant winds blow from the southwest during the summer monsoon (May to October) and from the northeast during the dry season (November to April). The best kite season is between December and March with consistent northeast winds. The body of water is relatively sheltered with moderate waves.
