Cox's Bazar is a seaside resort in southeastern Bangladesh, famous for having the longest natural sandy beach in the world, stretching approximately 120 km along the Bay of Bengal. The kitesurfing spot offers a vast body of water with conditions that vary by season. The most favorable winds blow during the southwest monsoon from June to September, bringing consistent southwest winds. The dry season from October to March offers lighter but steady northeast winds. Conditions can be demanding during the monsoon with significant waves. Beware of strong currents and significant tides in this area. The bottom is sandy and the beach very wide, making kite launching and landing easy. The spot is not recommended for beginners during the monsoon.
