Overview

Newgale Sands is one of the largest beaches in Pembrokeshire, a 3 km stretch of sand facing west towards St Bride's Bay. A major Pembrokeshire spot for surfing and kiting, with quality waves and consistent south-west wind. The beach is bordered by a spectacular pebble bank. Powerful conditions in westerly swells.

Large car park along the A487 road that runs alongside the beach. Direct access to the beach. Cafe and facilities at the car park.
Hazards
Frequent rip currents. Powerful shore break. Pebble bank can be dangerous in heavy seas. Fast incoming tide. Unstable cliffs at the ends.
