Overview

Llangennith (Rhossili Bay) is one of the most famous spots in Wales, on the western tip of the Gower Peninsula (the UK's first AONB). The immense 5 km west-facing beach receives Atlantic swells and prevailing south-west winds. Spectacular setting with Rhossili Down and Worm's Head. Excellent surf and kite spot.

Parking
Parking at Llangennith village or at the National Trust car park at Rhossili. 10-15 minute walk down to the beach. The Rhossili car park offers spectacular views.
Hazards
Powerful rip currents. Violent shore break in large swells. Fast incoming tide — risk of being cut off near Burry Holms to the north. Worm's Head accessible only 2h30 around low tide.
