Hell's Mouth (Porth Neigwl) is a large bay on the south coast of the Llyn Peninsula, one of the best surf and kite spots in Wales. Facing south-south-west, the 6 km bay receives Atlantic swells and prevailing south-west winds. A wild and uncrowded beach, renowned for its quality waves.
Small car park at the top of the cliff with a footpath down to the beach. Narrow road from the villages of Llanengan or Rhiw. No facilities on the beach.
Hazards
Frequent and powerful rip currents. Violent shore break in large swells. No beach lifeguard. Difficult access in case of emergency. Unstable cliffs — do not position yourself too close.
