Henichesk is a port town located at the entrance of the Arabat Spit, on the Tonkiy Strait between the Sea of Azov and the Sivash. The kitesurfing spot is located in the Sivash, offering flat and shallow water navigation conditions.

The water is very shallow (often less than one meter), making it an excellent spot for learning kitesurfing. The bottom is sandy to muddy. Wind is consistent and often reinforced by thermal effects in summer.
