Storsand is a kitesurfing spot located in Norrbotten County, in northern Sweden, on the Gulf of Bothnia coast. The spot is near Lulea, the capital of Norrbotten. The Gulf of Bothnia offers a vast water body for sailing. South and southwest winds are the most frequent, with east winds also possible. In winter, the gulf freezes and allows snowkite on the ice. Storsand is one of the few kitesurfing spots in northern Sweden. The summer season is short but the long summer days allow extended sessions. Suitable for intermediate riders.
