Matosinhos Beach is Porto's main surf and kite beach, just north of the city centre. Wide sandy beach facing west, exposed to NW Nortada. Popular urban surf spot — the beach is busy with surfers, bodyboarders and swimmers. Kite is possible but space can be limited. Sandy bottom, beach breaks. All amenities of a city beach — restaurants, bars, parking. The fish market and seafood restaurants of Matosinhos are legendary.
