Overview

Foz do Lizandro is a river mouth beach near Ericeira, 30 min from Guincho, 45 min from Lisbon. The Lizandro river creates a small estuary with calmer water inside. The ocean side has good waves. NW Nortada. Within the Ericeira World Surfing Reserve — one of only a few in the world. Shared with surfers, crowded in summer. Charming fishing village of Ericeira nearby — famous for grilled octopus. Intermediate to advanced.
