Fonte da Telha is the closest all-level kite spot to Lisbon (30 min), located on the southern end of the Costa da Caparica strip. Originally a fishing village, it transforms into a beach resort in summer.
The beach stretches 15 km along stunning cliffs and dunes. Waves are smaller here than at spots further north (Bela Vista), making it accessible for beginners while still enjoyable for advanced riders. Clean beach breaks with sandy bottom.
The Nortada NW thermal wind kicks in from the afternoon, typically 15-20 knots from April to September — lighter than Guincho but more manageable. One of the few spots in Portugal where you can kitesurf year-round, including winter with storm winds.
Beautiful natural setting with bars, restaurants, and ocean views from the dune tops. Several kite schools operate here including Wind Spirit. Parking available, some spots tolerate camper vans.
Season: April to September (thermal), but rideable year-round.
