Cova do Vapor is a tiny, bohemian beach community at the tip of the Caparica peninsula, facing the Tagus river mouth and the Atlantic. Just south of Lisbon, across the river.

The spot works with NW Nortada — the river mouth creates some protection from the biggest swells, but conditions can still be powerful. Small waves, some chop. Popular with Lisbon-based kiters for quick after-work sessions.

Charming ramshackle village atmosphere with beach bars. View across to Cascais and the Sintra mountains. Can be combined with nearby Fonte da Telha or Costa da Caparica spots.
