Carvalhal is an Alentejo beach between Comporta and Melides. The beach has been modernized with good infrastructure — large parking, wooden walkways, bar-restaurant. Very popular for surf and kitesurf. NW Nortada conditions similar to Comporta. Long sandy beach, quite exposed. Wide open coastline within the Alentejo countryside — rice fields and cork oak forests behind the dunes.
