Sopot is an elegant seaside resort in the Tri-City (Trojmiasto), famous for its long wooden pier (the longest in Europe, 511m). The kitesurfing spot is on the sandy Baltic beaches. It is an open sea spot, with chop and sometimes small waves in north winds. The bottom is sandy and the beach is wide. Note: during the peak summer season, coexistence with swimmers can be difficult and sailing may be restricted in some areas. Winds work well from northwest to northeast (side-shore to onshore). Sopot offers a unique atmosphere blending water sports and cultural life, with many restaurants and bars by the sea.
