Kolobrzeg is one of the largest seaside resorts on the Polish Baltic coast and a well-known kitesurfing spot. The city offers long fine sandy beaches facing the Baltic Sea. The main spot is on the beaches east and west of the port. Conditions are typical of the Baltic: chop in north winds, flat to moderate in offshore winds. The bottom is sandy and launching is easy from the wide beaches. West and northwest winds are the most frequent and offer ideal side-shore conditions. Kolobrzeg is well served by train and offers all the services needed for a kite trip. Watch out for sailing restrictions near swimming areas in summer.
