Overview

Lake Tarnobrzeskie (Jezioro Tarnobrzeskie) is an artificial lake created in a former open-pit sulfur mine, near Tarnobrzeg in southeastern Poland. It is a kitesurfing spot unique for its industrial origins. The water body is a decent size with clear water and a sandy bottom. The depth can be significant in places. Conditions are flat water, suitable for kitesurfing. West and southwest winds are the most frequent. The lake has become an important leisure center for the region, with developed beaches and water sports facilities.
