Lake Miedwie (Jezioro Miedwie) is the sixth largest lake in Poland, located near Szczecin in Western Pomerania. The Gizyn spot is on the southern shore of the lake. The lake is about 35 km2 and offers good water for kitesurfing. The depth varies (up to 43m in the center). The Gizyn spot offers easy access with a sandy beach. In strong winds, the significant fetch creates chop. West and southwest winds are the most frequent. Lake Miedwie is the main spot for kitesurfers in the Szczecin area. The season runs from May to October.
