Chalupy is the most famous kitesurfing spot in Poland, located on the Hel Peninsula, between Puck Bay and the Baltic Sea. It is the birthplace of Polish kitesurfing and a pilgrimage site for all riders in the country. The main spot is on the bay side (Zatoka Pucka), offering shallow and flat water, ideal for learning and freestyle. The depth remains low for several hundred meters, making it a very safe spot. On the open sea side (Baltic), conditions are more challenging with waves and current. The season runs from May to October, with the best winds in summer thanks to thermal breezes that reinforce the prevailing west and northwest winds. Chalupy hosts numerous kite schools and national competitions.
