Markermeer Edam (Warder side) is the official kitesurf spot at the Zeedijk between Edam and Warder, on the western shore of the Markermeer. This spot is a magnet for the greater Amsterdam region on easterly wind days — one of the only places where E/NE wind is onshore on this flat freshwater lake.
The first 50m of water is shallow, making it easy to stand up. The launch zone is narrow with stony/cobbled edges — requires a bit of technique. Flat to choppy conditions typical of the Markermeer. The spot is one of the most important E-wind spots in Noord-Holland.
Open all year round

⚠️ Very busy on easterly wind days — limited space on launch strip.
