Overview

Cadzand-Bad is a North Sea kitesurf spot on the southwest coast of Zeeland, near the Belgian border — the most southwestern spot on the Dutch coast. Known for good waves with SW/W/NW wind. Wide sandy beach with clear water. Main launch in front of the 'De Zeemeuw' beach pavilion.

⚠️ Concrete groynes (golfbrekers) throughout the beach — hard and extremely sharp (mussel beds on them). Good kite control and upwind riding essential. NKV designated zone — stay within marked boundaries. Large tidal range. The Zwin nature reserve is immediately to the west — strictly protected area. Winter offers the largest waves and strongest wind — bring 5/4mm wetsuit + gloves + boots.
