Velika Plaža ("Great Beach") is a massive 13 km long sandy beach located in Ulcinj, southern Montenegro. It is the country's most iconic kitesurfing spot, facing the Adriatic Sea with a southeast orientation. The Maestral (NW), a summer thermal wind, blows regularly in the afternoon offering excellent side-shore conditions. The Jugo (SE) brings swell for wave enthusiasts. The sandy bottom and shallow water extending for several dozen meters are well suited for intermediate riders.
