Nida is located on the Curonian Spit (Neringa), a narrow strip of land listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, separating the Curonian Lagoon from the Baltic Sea. It is one of Lithuania's most iconic spots.
The spot offers two distinct water bodies: on the lagoon side, waters are flat and shallow, perfect for beginners and freestyle. On the Baltic Sea side, conditions are more exposed with chop.
Westerly winds are most favourable, blowing onshore on the sea side and offshore on the lagoon side. The Curonian Lagoon is the preferred choice for local kitesurfers thanks to its calm waters. The season runs from May to October.
