Melnragė is a seaside district north of Klaipėda, Lithuania's third-largest city. Melnragė Beach faces the Baltic Sea and is one of the most popular kitesurfing spots on the Lithuanian coast.
The sandy beach is wide and faces west. South-west to north-west winds are most favourable, blowing side-shore to side-onshore. The bottom is sandy and gradual. The spot can be quite exposed in heavy weather.
