Vitrupe is a coastal village on Latvia's north-east coast, in the Vidzeme region, on the Gulf of Riga shore. The spot is at the mouth of the Vitrupe River.

The beach faces west towards the Gulf of Riga. West to north-west winds are most favourable. The bottom is sandy. The Vidzeme coast offers a spectacular natural setting with its cliffs and forests.

Vitrupe is an isolated spot with very limited services. The season runs from May to October. The spot suits intermediate riders.
