Kesterciems is a coastal village on Latvia's west coast, on the Gulf of Riga shore, near Engure. The spot offers a sandy beach facing the gulf.

The beach faces north-west. North to north-west winds are most favourable. The bottom is sandy and the water shallow. The Gulf of Riga offers calmer conditions than the open Baltic coast.

Kesterciems is a quiet spot, less known than those in the Riga area. The season runs from May to October. The spot suits beginners and intermediates.
