Pumpuri is one of the districts of Jūrmala, Latvia's famous seaside resort located a few kilometres from Riga. Pumpuri Beach is one of the most popular kitesurfing spots in the Riga area.

The long white sand beach faces the Gulf of Riga, oriented to the north. North-west to north-east winds blow onshore to side-onshore and provide the best conditions. The bottom is sandy and the water shallow near the shore.

Jūrmala is easily accessible from Riga (25 minutes by car). The spot has good tourist infrastructure. The kitesurf season runs from May to October. The spot suits intermediate level riders.
