Jūrkalne is a coastal village on Latvia's west coast, between Ventspils and Liepāja. The spot is characterised by its high coastal cliffs (up to 20 metres) overlooking the beach.

The sandy beach faces west, directly exposed to the Baltic Sea. West and south-west winds are most favourable. Beach access is via stairs from the cliffs. The bottom is sandy.

Jūrkalne is a wild and uncrowded spot in an impressive natural setting. The village is small with limited services. The season runs from May to October. Spot for intermediate to advanced riders due to access and exposure.
