Large low-altitude spot, the wind comes in well from the southwest but is more irregular in bise (northeast wind). The spot is flat for most areas, with some slopes on the St-Georges side. Very nice place, close to Geneva, but due to its heavy use it can cause some tension with local residents (read below).
The Longirod and St-Georges spots are increasingly popular, especially because they are the first snowkite spots accessible to people from Geneva. This causes some tension with residents and farmers in the area. Three rules to follow for good relations: Always park so as not to block access to various farms, roads,... If the designated parking is full, simply go elsewhere, the plateau is very large and it's easy to move around by kite. If the snow becomes soft and there's little of it, don't go anymore, there may be crops underneath and you risk irreparably damaging them. At best, ask the concerned farmer and have a dialogue. Do not cross main roads while kiting, it's very poorly perceived.
Open all year round
Normal (Car access at spot edge)
Altitude: 899m
The parking is at the village entrance, do not park on the roadside as it can very quickly obstruct traffic.
Fairly regular in Southwest. Gusty in bise (northeast wind) but not necessarily unrideable.
Some fences, and some roads too. Do not cross roads while kiting, it's very poorly perceived by road workers.
