Platamona Lido is a kitesurf spot on the north coast of Sardinia, between Sassari and Porto Torres, along a long straight beach backed by a pine forest. Highly exposed to the Maestrale (northwest) and northerly winds, it delivers powerful and reliable conditions in summer. The forest creates a natural windbreak for rigging. The beach is long enough to find a quiet section even on busy days. One of the most consistent wind spots on the north Sardinian coast.

Multiple parking areas along the Platamona Lido road, accessible from Sassari via the SS131. Restaurants and beach bars open in summer. Quiet and uncrowded outside of the season.
Long exposed beach — strong Maestrale gusts can be intense, beginners should use small kites. Swimming zones in summer must be respected. Rocky reefs at the south end near the Sassari lagoon. No rescue service on site.
