Lago di Bracciano is a large volcanic lake 30 km north of Rome. This 57 km² body of water offers ideal flat water conditions for kitesurfing and wingfoiling. The lake benefits from regular thermal breezes in summer. It is the most popular lake spot in the Roman region, offering a flat water alternative to coastal spots.

Several access points around the lake. Parking at Anguillara Sabazia, Trevignano Romano and Bracciano. Easy access from Rome via the SS2 or by train.
Southeast thermal breeze in summer, setting in by late morning. Moderate intensity (10-18 knots). The Tramontana (N) and Maestrale (NW) can also reach the lake in more significant weather situations.
Lake subject to regulations: check the authorized zones for kitesurfing. Thermal breeze that can drop abruptly in the late afternoon. Cool water in spring.
