Follonica is a popular seaside resort in the gulf of the same name, in the Tuscan Maremma. The semi-enclosed gulf offers varied conditions depending on the winds. The long sandy beach is ideal for kitesurfing. The spot is sheltered from north winds by the hills, but well exposed to the Libeccio (SW) and Ponente (W).
