Balatonfenyves is a kitesurfing spot on the southern shore of Lake Balaton, the largest lake in Central Europe. Lake Balaton is the most popular kite spot in Hungary. The water is shallow (average depth 3 meters) and flat, making it an excellent spot for beginners and freestyle. Prevailing winds come from the north and northwest, blowing across the lake. The season runs from April to October. The spot is well equipped with parking and easy access.
