Achivadolimni is THE kitesurf spot on Milos, located on the island's north coast in the western Cyclades. The beach is long and sandy, facing north, receiving the Meltemi directly onshore. Milos is renowned for its spectacular volcanic landscapes and crystal-clear waters. Reliable conditions in summer with 15-22 knot Meltemi.
Rideable May to September with the Meltemi. Launch from the long sandy beach. A few kite centers in season with rental and lessons. Island well served by ferry and air. Accommodation in Adamas and Plaka. Plan for 8-12m² kites.
Chop in Meltemi, 0.5-1.5m waves. Gradually deepening sandy bottom. Crystal-clear water. The bay offers slight protection moderating waves.

Parking accessible from Milos's main road. The beach is well signposted. Dirt car park near the beach. Halfway between Adamas (port) and Plaka (main village).
Shore break in strong Meltemi. Swimmers in summer. Rocks at beach extremities. Kite centers provide safety in season.
The Meltemi (N/NNE) arrives directly onshore on Milos's north coast. Consistent 15-22 knots in summer, peaks to 25+ knots in July-August. Milos being in the western Cyclades, the Meltemi is slightly less intense than in the central Cyclades but remains very reliable. Wind picks up around 12-1 PM and blows until evening.
