Aghios Nikolaos is a kitesurfing spot on the east coast of Lefkada, in the channel between the island and the Greek mainland. Located in the northern part of the island, it offers a semi-protected water body shielded by the mainland to the east.
The NW "Maestro" wind wraps around the island and enters the channel. Conditions are more moderate than on the exposed west coast, with less choppy water thanks to mainland protection. Intermediate spot with a pleasant setting.
Launching from the village beach. Sailing area in the channel. No kite school on site. Wingfoil is well suited to the moderate wind conditions on this east coast.
Semi-flat water in the channel, protected from long fetch by the mainland. Moderate chop. Sandy and rocky bottom. Clear Ionian Sea water.
