Ludwigshafen (Bodman-Ludwigshafen) is located on the Uberlinger See, the northwest arm of the Bodensee. Authorised kite zone from 1 April to 31 August, within a 500 m zone offshore from the Strandbad, east of the spot. Large standing area along the shore (body of water parallel to the coast), flat water. Only E to SE wind arrives freely from the Uberlinger See — other directions are disrupted.
Warning — Mandatory permit: Sondergenehmigung required (Schifffahrtsamt Bodenseekreis). Authorised zone: 1 April - 31 August, 500 m offshore zone in front of Ludwigshafen Strandbad.
Water access via stairs from the small natural beach. Little space for rigging and launching. The kite zone is east of the windsurfers (W wind in lee). Vast standing area parallel to the shore.

Sudden Foehn (waves up to 3 m+), unpredictable summer storms. The Ludwigshafen spot never receives truly free wind — only East to SE enters freely via the Uberlinger See. Very limited launching space on the natural beach. Water access via stairs — tricky with equipment. Kite strictly forbidden outside the marked zone.
