Wind from SW to NE (best NE/W). Very similar conditions to the adjacent Trois-Moutons beach. Kite + windfoil + wingfoil. Used by AvelWest school.
AvelWest — kitesurf school Finistère Nord, uses Saint-Pabu as a teaching spot. Rêve O Kite — kitesurf school also operating in the area (Landéda/Sainte-Marguerite zone).
Open all year round
Intermediate
Flat water, tidal bay. Sandy at mid-tide, rocks exposed at high tide (coefficient > 60). Plan around rising tide for best conditions. Some seaweed on lines risk in areas where kelp accumulates at waterline.
Wind from SW to NE, best NE and W. S is often gusty. NW is reliable and offers great flat sessions at low to mid tide.
Tidal currents from the Aber Benoît estuary — strong at peak flow. At high tide with coefficient above 60: beach may touch the rocks (1–3 hours either side of high tide). Plan sessions around rising tide to have sand underfoot. Seaweed (goémon) can interfere with lines — react immediately if lines get caught.
