Quiberville-sur-Mer is one of the best kitesurf and windsurf spots on Normandy's Alabaster Coast, 10 km west of Dieppe and neighbouring Saint-Aubin-sur-Mer. Set between superb chalk cliffs, the broad sandy beach at low tide provides a wide, pleasant riding space. Often paired with Saint-Aubin, both spots are intermediate-level and favoured by the regional kitesurf community.
Kite zone marked and signposted — mandatory. Sand at low tide, pebbles return at high tide. Works well from WSW to NW. NE wind (side-onshore starboard): one of the only spots in Seine-Maritime functional in this direction. Albâtre Kitesurf school operates from Saint-Aubin, covering this area. Easy parking. Cafés and restaurants nearby.
Albâtre Kitesurf — Seine-Maritime's first kitesurf school, based at Saint-Aubin-sur-Mer / Saussemare. Operates on Quiberville and neighbouring spots. Groups of 2 max (kite), 4 max (SUP). March to November. BPJEPS diploma. Tel. 07 69 82 94 75. albatrekitesurf.com

Sandy beach at low tide, but pebbles reappear at high tide — space to launch reduces significantly. Respect the kite zone (signposted at the spot entrance) under pain of losing kite access. Strong currents possible depending on tidal coefficient. Avoid offshore winds (SE to SW components): risk of being pushed out to sea. Beware of fishermen and their lines at low tide.
Works from WSW to NW (dominant northwest wind of Normandy), side-onshore port tack — ideal. NE winds (rare but very reliable when present, often stronger than forecast): side-onshore starboard — one of the only spots in Seine-Maritime to work well in this direction. All other wind directions (E to S) are offshore or unfavourable — forbidden to navigate. Best waves on a falling tide.
