Le Portel is a kitesurf spot on the Côte d'Opale (Pas-de-Calais), just south of Boulogne-sur-Mer. This small fishing village has a beach exposed to the English Channel, catching the dominant South-West to West winds typical of this stretch of coast.

Tidal spot — best sessions at mid to high tide. The proximity to the Boulogne port means some boat traffic in the area. A local spot favoured by riders from the Boulogne area.
