Le Boucanet ("le Bouca") — located between La Grande-Motte and Le Grau-du-Roi, the only spot on the right bank. A popular fallback spot for aficionados when Port Camargue spots are overcrowded.
Relatively wide beach with good exposure. Versatile spot: works in W, E, SE winds. In strong wind, small waves ideal for freeride or freestyle.
In westerly wind: THE wave spot of the Aigues-Mortes bay! Don't miss the rare memorable sessions when the west combines with swell.

Address: 772 boulevard du Docteur Jean Bastide, 30240 Le Grau-du-Roi. Located on the Grau-du-Roi side (right bank), between La Grande-Motte and the town centre.
Versatile spot — works in West (side-on, waves!), East, SE (Marin, waves), and SW (summer thermal). In NW wind (Tramontane), blows side-off — more technical.
In summer: prefer marked spots (Grande-Motte TPO, Espiguette). Off-season: quieter spot.
Open all year round
Intermediate
Parking along boulevard du Docteur Jean Bastide. Easy access.
West: THE reference wind here — side-onshore, memorable waves when swell combines. THE wave spot of Aigues-Mortes bay in W wind!
Marin SE: onshore, waves, choppier conditions in heavy weather.
Thermal SW: summer breeze, freeride.
Tramontane NW: works but side-offshore — more technical, risk of drifting. Prefer Plage Sud for flat water protected by the breakwaters.
