Mottets beach is located in Viviers-du-Lac, at the southern tip of Lac du Bourget. It's the main launch spot for South wind, allowing you to head north along the lake.
Leisure area with sandy beach, shallow waters. Jetty at the end of the beach offering views of the 18 km lake.
Like all Bourget spots: irregular wind that can drop at any moment. Fins recommended. Not suitable for beginners.
Main launch spot for South wind (S/SSW/SSE). Allows heading north along the lake.
In North wind, prefer Cap des Séselets or Lido further north.

Parking at Mottets leisure area. Paid access on weekends and holidays from early May to June 15, then daily from June 16 to September 2.
Irregular South wind: can stop suddenly, fins essential.
Supervised swimming in summer: respect swimming areas (July-August). Beach access is paid in season.
Riding beyond yellow buoys (200m zone) mandatory.
