This spot is located on the east shore of Lac du Bourget, near the campsite at Bourget-du-Lac. The lake — the largest natural lake in France at 18km long — is well-known for its strong and consistent north wind (the "Vaudaire") and its thermal south breezes in summer.

This area sits at the southern end of the lake, more sheltered from the main Vaudaire corridor. Well suited for windsurf and wingfoil in light to moderate south or south-west thermals. The narrow lake orientation makes it suitable for directional riding.
