Overview

Lac de Cazaux (shared with Biscarrosse) is the second largest natural lake in France and an excellent kitesurf spot for beginner to intermediate riders. The flat freshwater surface, consistent southwest to northwest winds and wide sandy beach make it a reliable alternative to the ocean. The military air base nearby means some access restrictions apply in certain areas.
