La Pointe Espagnol is a kitesurf spot at the mouth of the Gironde estuary (Charente-Maritime), near Royan on the north bank. This point at the entrance of the estuary catches the dominant North-West wind blowing in from the Atlantic — the classic sea breeze direction for this coast.
