La Grande Côte is a kitesurf spot on the Côte Sauvage de Royan (Charente-Maritime), north of Royan between Saint-Palais-sur-Mer and the Phare de la Coubre. This wild Atlantic-facing beach catches South and North-West winds — the two dominant directions on this exposed coast.
