Jullouville is the flagship kitesurf spot of southern Manche, south of Granville with a spectacular view of Mont-Saint-Michel in clear weather. A 4 km beach, lightly frequented, with vast open spaces — ideal for learning and progressing safely.
The tidal range in the Manche is significant: at low tide, the water extends for kilometers, providing a shallow and reassuring environment for beginners. Sessions are best at rising or falling tide, when the water is flattest. Main spot for Fifty Kite school with westerly winds at medium to large tides.
SNSM rescue station located directly at the spot. Parking and toilets on site.

Possible current at high tide. At high tide with large coefficients, the water can be choppy — prefer mid-tide sessions. Check summer regulations in force (marked swimming areas).
Works mainly with west to northwest winds (SW to N). Best orientation is northwest, giving a regular side-onshore wind. With southwesterly winds, good conditions with building swell — side-onshore starboard tack, ideal for wave riding or freeride progression. N to NW: very good side conditions.
Main spot at medium to large tidal coefficients (>55). At small tides (coef <55), the sea doesn't retreat far enough — switch to Kaïron Plage instead.
