Overview

Île de Ré - Plage des Prises is a kitesurf spot on the north coast of the Île de Ré (Charente-Maritime), facing the Pertuis Breton. This beach catches South-West, West-South-West and West winds — onshore directions from the open Atlantic side of the island's north coast.

Tidal spot with significant tidal range. The Pertuis Breton can have strong currents. A beautiful natural spot with the typical Île de Ré landscape of salt marshes, vineyards and white-walled villages nearby. Check local regulations for any seasonal restrictions.
