At Les Grangettes, kitesurfing is not officially authorized but tolerated off-season. Don't expect to sail there in summer - it's a beach reserved for beachgoers and swimmers with lifeguards, buoys in the water... There remains a small water entry zone but reserved for windsurfing, paddle rental, sailing club...

This spot works in SW but prefer the Chaon spot which is officially authorized. We leave this spot to windsurfers for this orientation. In NE bise, the wind is very irregular there. Locals ride there for lack of better options but it's not the ideal orientation. Prefer Lac de Joux which is not far away.
Trees on the beach, volleyball posts. In case of drifting, you end up in the reeds, or on the stakes that fishermen have planted to anchor their boats. No escape route nearby.
