Étang de Lacanau - Lacanau-Ville is a kitesurf spot on the western shore of Lac de Lacanau (Gironde), a large freshwater lake in the Landes forest. This side of the lake faces east and catches South-West, West-South-West, West, West-North-West and North-West winds — the dominant Atlantic-influenced directions that blow across the lake.
