Welcome to Salento where the motto is "lu sule, lu mare, lu ientu" which means the sun, the sea and the wind in dialect. Le Cesine is a spot very little known by tourists. In this region, there are two winds favorable for kitesurfing: the Tramontane and the Scirocco. This spot works with the Tramontane. In high season (July-August), this place can be very crowded. The best season is therefore autumn and spring when the temperature is still pleasant. The wind is not present every day but when it blows, it varies between 15 and 30 knots, creating chop on the water. The "Kitesurf Lecce" kite school is present during the good season. Nearby, there is a nature reserve protected by WWF. Despite this, the negative point of the place is the amount of litter on the beach.
Open all year round
The spot is open all year round. Autumn and spring are the best seasons.
Intermediate
The wind that works is the Tramontane. This spot is less suitable with the Scirocco.
You must respect the kitesurf zone and not go beyond the white or orange buoys. Don't hesitate to ask if there's any doubt or changes from one year to another at the school present. If you need to cross the swimming zone when coming back, walk on the beach and fly the kite on the sea side.
