Moriani-Plage is a kitesurf spot located on the Costa Verde, the picturesque east coast of Corsica, in the municipality of San-Nicolao. The beach stretches out facing east, fringed by hills and vineyards, with a gentle entry into the water and a sandy bottom — ideal for beginners and wing foilers.
This is a light wind spot by nature: 610 kiteable hours per year with very few strong winds. The summer SE thermal is moderate and regular, perfect for foiling. Riders seeking stronger conditions will find better options further south or at the Cap Corse. The Corsikite association manages information for this spot.
A well-served station with restaurants, accommodation and shops — a comfortable base for a complete holiday combining kitesurf and tourism.

Open all year round
Well-served station on the east coast, accessible from the N198 (Bastia–Porto-Vecchio road). Parking available along the seafront and near the beach accesses. Several entry points exist via small perpendicular roads from the seafront.
Offshore winds: West sector winds are fully offshore on this east-facing beach. Never ride alone if there is any chance of offshore conditions.
Light wind spot: With only 77 hours of strong wind per year, Moriani is a light-wind spot. Conditions can drop quickly — always keep enough power to return to shore.
Busy beach in summer: The beach is well attended by families in summer. Be careful when launching and landing kites.
The spot works on two wind windows: North-East (Gregale) and a South-East thermal setting up in the afternoon. The SE thermal is the most frequent in summer — moderate (15–20kt) and consistent, well suited to foiling.
There is almost no strong wind here (only 77 hours per year above 22kt). This is a calm, light-wind spot, excellent for foiling and learning. Avoid riding in westerly conditions which are fully offshore.
