Nice freeride spot, accessible after a short touring effort, offering a fun and varied playground. The usable extent of the spot depends on wind strength: only the ridge if the wind is light, up to 200m of elevation drop on fairly steep slopes if the wind is strong. Be careful though: the slopes upwind of the ridge are steep, so prefer a freeride single-skin kite that depowers well, and don't go overpowered with a performance foil kite...
Access: from the south, skin up from the Solepraz chairlift base (Leysin ski area). Be careful not to park your car there, as the road is reserved in winter for the ski-bus shuttle between Leysin and Les Mosses. Access via the Leysin ski area (possibility of cutting down the Solepraz run to save some elevation gain - beware of avalanche danger) or park at Les Mosses and take the ski-bus (departures every 30 min). The elevation gain on skins is about 300m if you can finish the climb pulled by the kite, or about 500m if only the ridge is usable. From the north: take the military road along the south shore of Lac de l'Hongrin from La Lécherette (road marked as closed in winter according to information found online, but it seems you can pass on weekends... but from La Lécherette only). Park at point 1368 and head up towards Pierre du Moëllé (450m of elevation gain).
